Associate Director - Structures

Based on the fringe of Melbourne’s CBD, our client is a multidisciplinary consultancy with over 50 years experience in delivering engineering solutions to clients throughout Australia and Asia. Due to their continually expanding portfolio of high-profile building projects, they are looking to further strengthen their already strong structural group by employing an additional Associate Director.

There is currently a position available for a highly experienced Structural Design Engineer looking to develop their career in the immediate future.

Your responsibilities will include:

Technical direction of multiple projects under your control

Receipt of client brief and dissemination of information to your discipline team

Oversee and sign-off on project design and documentation

Preparation and presentation of submissions, setting of fees; preparation of large and technically complex reports

Manage own client portfolio professionally, to ensure continued and repeat business. Project management

In conjunction with the Structural Director, successfully manage the discipline and staff under your charge, including ongoing staff development and mentoring of junior staff.

Suitable candidates will have extensive local experience in the design of large scale RC and steel frame buildings. In addition you will have impeccable communication and presentation skills, an excellent knowledge of the local and/or nationwide engineering market, as well as the drive to further develop your career and drive the business forward.
