Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Design Leader to join their team in Melbourne. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading and inspiring their design team, ensuring the highest standards of creativity and quality in all our projects. As a Design Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the design process, from concept development to project completion, and ensuring that our work meets the clients' needs and expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the design team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Develop and implement design concepts that align with the project goals and client requirements.
- Oversee the entire design process, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Collaborate with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into effective design solutions.
- Ensure that all designs comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and sustainability standards.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance our design capabilities.
- Represent the firm in client meetings, presentations, and industry events, building and maintaining strong professional relationships.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in interior design, with a proven track record of leading and managing design teams.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating creative and innovative design solutions across various project types.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
