As a Subdivision Landscape Officer you will works with a range of stakeholders to ensure that public open spaces and streetscapes delivered as part of a development subdivision are designed to be high quality, functional and vibrant places for our community. You will use technical expertise in landscape architecture to assess and advise upon landscape development plans and technical documents.
The position is also responsible for ensuring Council’s suite of Guidelines and Landscape standard drawings are current and publicly available. The role will contribute significantly to the amenity, character and livability of the municipality.

Qualifications
• Relevant Qualifications
• Advanced skills in the full application of a variety of computer software applications including Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite.
• A current Drivers License

Experience and Knowledge
• Comprehensive knowledge of hard and soft landscape design, specification, and construction techniques, and a proven ability to read and interpret landscape plans and construction documentation.
• Practical knowledge of landscape planning processes in a municipal context, and strong understanding of the subdivision process, the land development industry, and associated local Government planning and permit processes in Victoria.
• Demonstrated ability to liaise with land developers, landscape architects and consultants regarding landscape planning, design and construction issues.
• Sound knowledge of general civil engineering and planning principles and their impact on landscape amenity.
