Highly regarded and well established consultancy providing engineering solutions nationally, across a range of project sectors. Based in a central location and close to train and tram links. They are in need of a driven Office Manager who can wear many hats, to take ownership of a newly created role providing leadership, hands on operational support, staff management and mentorship.
The role
You will manage all daily operations of their large Melbourne office to ensure administration processes and procedures are optimal and the business is supported in the best way possible, and provide assistance to Directors and Principals. You will also manage a small team, whilst being very much 'hands-on' yourself.
Typical responsibilities will include:
- Lead and coordinate all administrative activities
- Support to Directors and Principals
- Manage the office tenancy, facilities and equipment
- Manage supplier relationships
- Coordinate with IT for set up and onboarding
- Performance management of team, conduct informal and formal reviews
- Assist People team with onboarding, recruitment coordination etc
- Liaise with Corporate Services team
- Support interstate offices
- Experience in a similar role within a mid-large corporate business (Engineering, Architecture, Construction or professional services highly regarded)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Driven, proactive manner, quick to adapt to the changing needs of a business
- Ability to build strong, positive relationships with your team and wider business
- Advanced technical skills, including MS Office suite
