Operating for over 20 years, this Melbourne-based engineering and construction firm works closely with both government departments and asset operators to ensure the effective management of infrastructure across both rail and broader civil networks.
The client offers a challenging mix of civil and structural renewal projects delivering projects such as bridge decks, culvert renewals, bridge-strengthening, and asset installations.
The Role
As the Operations Manager you will take ownership of the overall success of the delivery arm of the business covering the following requirements:
- Profit and Loss responsibility for the Victorian Civil Business Unit
- Oversee bids management and provide expert advice on program and methodology
- Proven ability to manage project teams, organising and allocating work, prioritising and overseeing deliverables
- Winning new business in the region, developing, and selling solutions to existing and target clients
- Delivery of projects concrete structures (retaining walls / bridge decks etc)
- Scheduling of asset management teams to metro and regional areas of Victoria
- Resource allocation on projects (human and plant machinery)
- Present monthly project and cost reporting to clients and the directors
- Mentoring of Project Managers - regular leadership training and advice
