A highly successful Civil Contractor servicing the Western corridor of Victoria, specialists in the water infrastructure sector of Pipelines, Sewer, Stormwater, Pump Stations, and Treatment plants up to $10 million.
You will be supported by a hands-on director and an experienced site supervisor to be successful in your role.
The Role
Reporting to the director, your key responsibilities will include:
- Establish detailed project plans, including scope, budget, and schedule.
- Be solutions focussed ensuring the project delivery meets industry regulations
- Vigilant and risk-adverse at all times on site and develop strategies to reduce impact to the project
- Maintain already strong client relationships with water authorities.
- Address any potential issues head on with the client ensuring communication is constant and relationships are maintained.
- Conduct regular inspections on site, have pride in delivering a quality project for all stakeholders involved.
- Take the chance to mentor junior engineers and pass on your knowledge and experience.
- Engage from the tendering and pricing stage through to handover.
- Oversee all commercial responsibilities of the project, contract administration, variations, claims, etc.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction would be highly valued
- 3 years as a Project Manager or similar role in civil construction
- Experience delivering specifically in Drainage and Water projects up to $10 million
- Experience developing project plans, budgets, and schedules
- Proficient in using project management software and tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to think critically
