Aspect Personnel are currently working with a council in Melbourne's Western Suburbs to recruit a Transport/Traffic Engineer to join their Engineering Team.

The role will be an initial 3 month contract with the likelihood of being extended for the right candidate.

Candidates will be considered at band 5,6 or 7 level. 
 
This will be a varied role where you will have the opportunity to work as part of a friendly and supportive team. 

The council is currently operating in a hybrid working arrangement. 

Employed as a Traffic Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Responding to inquiries from local residents and clients via email, letter & phone.
• Assisting Traffic Engineers with investigations
• Assessment of traffic, transport and parking impacts of developments
• Provide administrative support to the team
• Technical report writing 
• Review of Traffic Management Plans

As the ideal candidate you will have/be:

• A degree in Civil Engineering, or relevant experience/qualifications
• Experience working as a Traffic or Transport Engineer preferably within Local Government
• Solid knowledge of Local Government traffic and transport procedures and policies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A current drivers license
