The role will be an initial 3 month contract with the likelihood of being extended for the right candidate.
Candidates will be considered at band 5,6 or 7 level.
This will be a varied role where you will have the opportunity to work as part of a friendly and supportive team.
The council is currently operating in a hybrid working arrangement.
Employed as a Traffic Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Responding to inquiries from local residents and clients via email, letter & phone.
- Assisting Traffic Engineers with investigations
- Assessment of traffic, transport and parking impacts of developments
- Provide administrative support to the team
- Technical report writing
- Review of Traffic Management Plans
- A degree in Civil Engineering, or relevant experience/qualifications
- Experience working as a Traffic or Transport Engineer preferably within Local Government
- Solid knowledge of Local Government traffic and transport procedures and policies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A current drivers license
