In this role, you’ll primarily be responsible for assessing subdivision designs for greenfield developments, ensuring compliance with Council standards and delivering high-quality outcomes for the community.
The position can be appointed at either Band 5 or Band 6, depending on the skills and experience of the successful candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess development and subdivision applications, including drainage and traffic considerations
- Review and approve legal points of discharge and building over easement applications
- Conduct site inspections and provide technical recommendations
- Liaise with developers, consultants, and key internal stakeholders
- Provide advice and assistance to residents on development-related matters
- Degree-qualified Civil Engineer (or equivalent relevant experience/qualifications)
- Experience working within Victorian Local Government is highly regarded
- Strong background in assessing and approving development and subdivision plans
- Proven experience reviewing legal points of discharge, vehicle crossings, and building over easements
- Sound understanding of relevant policies, standards, and legislation
- Current Victorian driver’s licence
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
