The role assesses developer submitted landscape plans against Council standards as part of the town planning process. It involves experience with town planning, developer liaison, good plant knowledge particularly around street trees and the assessment of parks and open space areas. It assesses landscape masterplans and landscape detailed design plans and approves these, as well as provides landscape permit conditions to the town planning team and advice on landscape to this team. It sits within the development team, so with engineers and surveillance officers but works closely with the open space and planning teams.
- Contract with full time hours
- Preferably a band 6 but open to discussion around that if you have relevant experience
- Hourly rate negotiable dependent on experience
- Council experience preferred but not essential
- Start date 1st December - 31st March
- Hybrid role, working 2 days in the office
