About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer with 5–10 years of experience, specialising in the design and delivery of high-rise buildings, to join our growing team in Melbourne CBD. This role is ideal for a technically proficient engineer with strong command of ETABS and other structural analysis tools, who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead structural design and documentation for high-rise residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments
- Perform advanced structural analysis and modelling using ETABS, SAFE, and related software
- Coordinate with architects, developers, and other engineering disciplines throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure compliance with Australian Standards, NCC, and local building codes
- Mentor and support junior engineers, providing technical guidance and peer reviews
- Participate in design meetings, site inspections, and resolve structural issues as they arise
- Contribute to project planning, budgeting, and delivery within timelines and cost constraints
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred)
- Chartered (CPEng) or working towards chartered status
- 5–10 years of relevant structural engineering experience, particularly in high-rise design
- Proficient in ETABS (essential), with experience in SAFE, RAM Concept, and RAPT viewed favourably
- Strong knowledge of concrete and steel design to AS/NZS codes
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Ability to manage projects independently and liaise effectively with clients and stakeholders
