What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead and manage the structural design and documentation of a range of projects, from commercial developments and residential towers to institutional and infrastructure assets.

  • Prepare concise and technically sound reports, design briefs, and engineering documentation.
  • Work closely with internal design and project management teams to ensure seamless project coordination.
  • Contribute to project planning, resource allocation, and fee proposals, supporting the broader team’s delivery goals.
  • Review construction methodologies to ensure designs are buildable, safe, and cost-effective.
  • Take ownership of the commercial performance of projects, including budgeting, scope management, and variation tracking.
  • Support ongoing business development by maintaining relationships with architects, contractors, and industry partners.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and technical excellence within the structural team.

Your Background & Skills

  • Proficiency in relevant software such as SpaceGass, RAPT, ETABS, RAM Concept, Tekla, Inducta, and Bluebeam. Experience with Revit/BIM processes will be highly regarded.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and maintain quality across all deliverables.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills, with confidence in client-facing situations.
  • Proven experience in structural design across concrete, steel, timber, and masonry structures.
  • Sound understanding of Australian Standards, NCC, and local building codes
  • Demonstrated commercial and contractual awareness, including scope control and project profitability.
  • Natural leader and mentor, with a commitment to developing the next generation of engineers.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance, design risk, and approval processes.

About You

You’re a motivated and technically confident engineer who enjoys seeing your designs built. You value collaboration, accuracy, and innovation, and you’re ready to take on greater leadership and commercial responsibility. You’re someone who enjoys being part of a team that challenges convention and delivers high-quality outcomes for clients.

  • Minimum 6 years’ post-graduate experience within a consulting environment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (required).
  • Chartered status (CPEng) or working towards accreditation (preferred)
  • Full Australian working rights and a valid driver’s licence.

What’s on offer

  • Exposure to building and infrastructure projects.
  • Supportive and inclusive team environment that values professional growth.
