Key Responsibilities
- Lead structural engineering projects end-to-end, ensuring technical accuracy and timely delivery
- Design in concrete, steel, timber and masonry in accordance with relevant Australian Standards
- Manage relationships with clients, architects and builders
- Conduct site inspections, review design documentation and coordinate with drafting teams
- Apply strong engineering judgement to resolve complex structural challenges
- Mentor and support junior engineers
- Maintain high standards of quality, documentation and compliance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 5+ years Australian structural design/consulting experience
- Strong knowledge of AS1170, AS3600, AS4100, AS1720, AS2870
- Proficiency in structural software (e.g., SpaceGass, Structural Toolkit, SLB, CheckWind or similar)
- Strong communication, documentation and stakeholder management skills
Desirable
- RPEQ or working towards it
- Experience mentoring or leading junior engineers
- Exposure to temporary works, industrial projects, or modular structures
