Asset Engineer

3 Month Contract role for an Asset Engineer with a Regional Victorian Council. 

Role can be primarily remote with only one day per month required in the office. 

Hourly rate is $64 / hour + super. 

Employed as an Asset Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Asset capitalisation including managing handover from project managers
• Updating Assetic and assisting GIS team
• Reviewing and managing asset condition assessment data
• Liaison with internal stakeholders across various council departments

As the ideal candidate you will have/be:

• A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, or relevant experience/qualifications
• A Civil Engineer with Asset Management/Planning experience, ideally within a Local Government work environment
• Previous experience in asset capitalisation and reviewing condition assessment data 
• A solid understanding of Asset Management principles and best practice
• Proficient with use of Asset Management Systems including Assetic & GIS
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A current drivers licence
