About the Role
Aspect Personnel is recruiting a Bridge Engineer to support a major regional rail inspection program across VIC, NSW and QLD.
The first 6 months will be focused solely on Level 2 and Level 3 bridge and structural inspections
in the field. The work pattern is approximately 2 weeks travelling on site
, followed by 2 weeks office-based reporting
.
The role can be structured as either an initial 6-month contract or a permanent appointment from the outset. Either way, candidates must be comfortable with the first 6 months being travel-heavy and inspection-focused.

- Travel across regional VIC, NSW and QLD as part of the inspection program
- Civil or structural engineering background
- Bridge, structures or transport infrastructure inspection experience
- Exposure to Level 2 and/or Level 3 inspections highly regarded
- Strong understanding of defects, deterioration and structural condition assessment
- Ability to write clear technical reports from field inspection data
- Comfortable travelling regularly and working across regional rail environments
- Rail experience, RIW access, ARTC exposure, AS 5100 knowledge or previous work across bridges, culverts, retaining walls and civil structures will be highly regarded.
