About the Role

We are seeking a practical Surveyor to support delivery on a major road project in Melbourne’s south-east, with an immediate start available.

The role will initially be based on a live staged intersection upgrade through to late November 2026, with likely ongoing company-based work across other civil infrastructure projects after that.

You will report to the Project Manager and work closely with Engineers, Supervisors and site teams to keep works accurate, compliant and moving.

Why This Role
  • Secure a long-term role with an immediate start on a live major road project
  • Work on staged civil construction involving pavements, drainage and utilities interfaces
  • Join a business with a strong pipeline across transport and civil infrastructure in Victoria
  • Step into a contractor-side role with real site influence and day-to-day delivery impact
  • Likely ongoing work beyond the initial project across metro and regional Victoria
  • Be part of a self-perform environment where survey supports production, not just reporting
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver construction set-out, control and as-built survey support across active civil works
  • Support site teams across roads, drainage, pavements, earthworks and related infrastructure scopes
  • Maintain accurate survey data, records, conformance checks and reporting for project use
  • Operate GPS, total station and survey software to collect and manage spatial data
  • Coordinate with Project Engineers, Supervisors and delivery teams to resolve survey issues quickly
  • Monitor accuracy, compliance and quality across layout, levels and completed works
Skills & Experience
  • Experience as a Surveyor within civil construction or infrastructure delivery
  • Strong capability in set-out, as-builts, conformance checks and survey data management
  • Relevant project exposure across roads, drainage, pavements, earthworks or utilities corridors
  • Proficiency with survey equipment and software such as GPS, total stations, AutoCAD, Civil 3D or Trimble Business Centre
  • Ability to work closely with Engineers, Supervisors and project teams in a contractor environment
  • Construction Induction Card and current driver’s licence required; broader surveying qualifications beneficial
About the Company

This role sits within a well-established Victorian civil infrastructure contractor with a strong reputation across transport, road rehabilitation, drainage, earthworks, utilities coordination and regional infrastructure delivery.

The business operates a self-perform model and continues to grow its footprint across both metropolitan and regional projects, including major road, maintenance and remediation works.
