Aspect Personnel is working with a regional Victorian council that needs an experienced Development Engineer on a temporary basis. You'll join the Subdivision and Development Engineering team and report to the Lead Development Engineering. You'll give expert engineering assessments and advice that help shape high-quality development across a growing regional community.

Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out engineering assessments of town planning, subdivision and building proposals
- Respond to development engineering referrals and enquiries within service levels
- Work with the team to manage daily priorities and workflow so departmental objectives are met
- Take part in meetings with internal stakeholders, developers, consultants and external authorities
- Advise and support the Manager, Team Leader and colleagues on development engineering issues
- Track performance against objectives and manage project risks and issues
- Deliver work on time, on budget and to the agreed standard
- Write technical reports and external correspondence
- A degree or diploma in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- Experience in development or subdivision engineering, ideally in local government
- A sound understanding of the principles behind the relevant regulations, policies and engineering standards
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to choose the right approach from a range of options
- Excellent time management, with the ability to prioritise a varied workload
- Strong communication skills and the ability to gain the cooperation of clients, the public and colleagues
