Protect community health by inspecting food businesses and public spaces, identifying and managing potential risks, and ensuring compliance with regulations. As an Environmental Health Officer, you’ll play a key role in safeguarding the community, providing advice, conducting inspections, and taking action where needed—making a real, visible impact across your local area.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough inspections of premises to prevent risk associated with food storage and preparation
  • Ensure all public health businesses within the municipality are adhering to the relevant legislation
  • Ensure premises that do not meet their legislative obligations upon inspection, are managed effectively
  • Issue notices where applicable. 
  •  
As the ideal candidate, you will have:
  • Prior experience as an EHO for a Local Council in Victoria essential
  • A Bachelor of Health Science or other relevant tertiary qualification
  • Strong food inspection background 
  • A thorough knowledge of the legislation that governs all areas of Environmental Health
  • Exceptional communication and report writing skills
  • A current Victorian Drivers' License
