An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Facilities Administrator to join a busy Local Government Facilities team on a temporary basis. This role is ideal for an organised and proactive administrator who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and supporting the delivery of community facilities and building services.

Working within the Facilities department, you will provide high-quality administrative support to ensure the efficient management and maintenance of Council-owned buildings and assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to the Facilities team.
  • Coordinate maintenance requests and monitor work orders through Council systems.
  • Liaise with contractors, service providers and internal stakeholders to schedule maintenance works.
  • Raise purchase orders, process invoices and assist with budget administration.
  • Maintain accurate records, databases and asset information.
  • Prepare reports, correspondence and meeting documentation.
  • Respond to customer enquiries relating to Council facilities and maintenance requests.
  • Assist with contractor compliance documentation and record management.
  • Support the coordination of preventative maintenance programs.
About You To be successful in this role, you will possess:
  • Previous administration experience, ideally within Local Government, Facilities Management, Property, Building or Asset Management.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and corporate management systems.
  • The ability to build positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A proactive and customer-focused approach to your work.
