Playing a key role within the finance and project team, this position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Process supplier invoices, credit notes, and staff reimbursements
  • Reconcile and maintain retentions for all subcontractors on projects and release when due
  • Maintain the email inbox
  • Create Purchase Orders for all overheads and assist with POs for projects
  • Potential to assist with sending subcontracts 
  • Prepare and process weekly and monthly payment runs
  • Add new suppliers to the system with strict compliance
  • Complete and submit credit applications.
  • Maintain accurate accounts payable records and filing systems (electronic and hard copy).
  • Reconcile and journal all credit card transactions.
  • Assist with bank reconciliations
  • Supplier account reconciliations and resolve invoice/payment discrepancies.
  • Respond promptly to supplier queries and maintain strong professional relationships.
  • Support month-end closing processes, including journals for accruals and reporting inc General Ledger reconciliations.
  • Vehicle registrations, fuel cards
  • Point of contact for any supplier or customer queries 
  • Attending to deliveries and general reception duties
  • Ordering stationery, uniform, groceries as required
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and company policies.
Requirements
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience working within the construction industry is essential 
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience using accounting software e.g Xero
