The Company

This well-established manufacturing business operates a large-scale, high-volume dairy processing facility in Melbourne’s western suburbs. Running across a 24-hour, 5-day operation, the site is known for its robust production output, strong engineering capability, and a collaborative, team-driven culture.
With continued growth and a focus on operational excellence, a key opportunity has become available within the site’s maintenance function.

The Role 

This position will work closely alongside an Industrial Services Engineer and the wider maintenance and engineering team, playing a critical role in ensuring effective inventory control and maintenance support across site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing technical parts inventory, including min/max levels, replenishment, and lead times
  • Supporting and contributing to TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) initiatives across site
  • Coordinating with engineers, trades, and production teams to support maintenance execution
  • Creating visibility and control over spare parts availability for planned and unplanned work
  • Overseeing vendor and supplier relationships to ensure timely supply of critical components
  • Supporting work order processes, including parts allocation and readiness for maintenance tasks
  • Driving improvements in inventory accuracy, reliability, and warehouse efficiency
  • Supporting maintenance planning activities through strong coordination and communication
About You

To be successful, you will bring:
  • Experience within high-volume manufacturing (food/dairy highly regarded)
  • Strong background in inventory control, spare parts management, or maintenance support
  • Exposure to TPM or continuous improvement environments
  • Experience working closely with engineering and maintenance teams
  • Strong vendor and supplier management capability
  • Solid understanding of inventory systems, replenishment processes, and lead time management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/5 production environment
  • Strong attention to detail with a proactive, hands-on mindset
