The Company

This well-established manufacturing business operates a large-scale, high-volume food processing facility in Melbourne's Western Suburbs. Running across a 24-hour, 5-day operation, the site is known for its robust production output, strong engineering capability, and a collaborative, team-driven culture.
With continued growth and a focus on operational excellence, two key positions have become available within the site's maintenance function.

The Roles

1. Maintenance Planner & Scheduler
2. Maintenance Inventory Lead

The Planner & Scheduler role will suit a more experienced professional with deep planning capability, while the Inventory Lead role offers an excellent pathway for someone earlier in their career looking to step into a critical site function. These roles will report into the Head of Engineering and work in tandem alongside an Industrial Services Engineer and form part of a high-performing maintenance and engineering team.

Key responsibilities across both roles include:
  • Leading and supporting TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) initiatives across site
  • Planning and scheduling maintenance activities up to a 4-week forward horizon
  • Creating, issuing, and overseeing work orders, including scope, labour, and materials
  • Coordinating closely with engineers, trades, and production teams to optimise plant performance
  • Holding trades and contractors accountable to timelines and quality of delivery
  • Managing technical parts inventory, including min/max levels, replenishment, and lead times
  • Building and maintaining strong vendor and supplier relationships
  • Driving reliability and efficiency across maintenance and inventory processes

About You
To be successful, you will bring:
  • 3+ years proven experience within high-volume manufacturing (food/dairy highly regarded)
  • Proficient in CMMS systems (preferably MEX)
  • Strong exposure to maintenance planning, scheduling, or inventory control
  • Experience working within TPM frameworks and continuous improvement environments
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate with engineering teams and production stakeholders
  • Strong vendor management and supplier engagement capability
  • Solid understanding of inventory systems, replenishment strategies, and lead time management
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, 24/5 production environment
  • A proactive, team-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail

What's on Offer
  • Competitive salary aligned to experience
  • Stable, site-based roles (Monday-Friday) within a critical manufacturing operation
  • Opportunity to work within a collaborative and highly skilled engineering team
  • Clear development pathway, particularly within the Inventory Lead position
  • Exposure to a large-scale, high-performing production environment
