The Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director and working as part of the executive team, the Operations Manager will:
- Oversee all aspects of workshop, fabrication, and operational performance
- Drive production capability and continuous improvement initiatives
- Balance strategic oversight with practical, hands-on leadership on the factory floor
- Support the company through an exciting period of expansion, innovation, and transformation
Requirements
We are seeking a candidate who brings:
- Senior leadership experience in fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial operations
- Proven ability to lead trade-qualified teams and production staff
- Strong commercial acumen with oversight of budgets, KPIs, and operational efficiency
- Experience driving change, process improvement, and cultural alignment
- The ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, evolving environments
- Stakeholder management experience, ideally within private or family-owned businesses
- Pragmatic problem-solving skills and a hands-on leadership style
- Engineering qualifications (advantageous, though not essential - practical experience valued highly)
