The Company
This established manufacturing business specialises in the production of personal care products within a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Operating Monday to Friday across a two-shift production model, the organisation has built a strong reputation for quality, operational reliability, and long-standing customer relationships.
With the business continuing to evolve, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Operations Manager to step into a key leadership position and take ownership of the site’s day-to-day operations.

The Role
Reporting directly to the business owner, this role will take full responsibility for the operational performance of the manufacturing site, allowing the owner to step away from the day-to-day running of the business.
This is a highly autonomous leadership role suited to someone who thrives in hands-on manufacturing environments and enjoys driving accountability, operational efficiency, profitability, and continuous improvement across operations.

While strong floor-level leadership is essential, the business is equally seeking someone with the strategic foresight to drive long-term operational improvements, improve cost competitiveness, and support the ongoing growth and scalability of the manufacturing operation.
The site operates Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 4:20pm, with manufacturing activity occurring across two shifts. The role will oversee approximately 15–20 direct reports across production and operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leading and managing day-to-day manufacturing and operational activities across site
  • Driving operational performance, productivity, profitability, and team accountability
  • Identifying and implementing improved ways of working across production and operations
  • Taking ownership of operational outcomes and driving long-term continuous improvement initiatives
  • Evaluating equipment, process, and operational investments with a strong commercial mindset and understanding of ROI
  • Supporting initiatives that improve manufacturing efficiency, cost competitiveness, and operational scalability
  • Managing and developing production teams across a two-shift manufacturing environment
  • Working closely with maintenance, production, and leadership teams to ensure operational continuity
  • Overseeing production planning, labour coordination, and operational output
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across safety, quality, and efficiency
  • Maintaining strong operational standards across liquid blending, batch filling, packaging, and line operations
  • Providing strong leadership presence across the factory floor and broader business
About You
To be successful, you will bring:
  • Proven experience in an Operations Manager or senior manufacturing leadership role
  • Strong background within manufacturing environments, ideally involving liquid blending, batch filling, packaging, or related production processes
  • Mechanical Engineering qualifications or strong mechanical aptitude highly regarded
  • Hands-on understanding of manufacturing equipment, line operations, and operational troubleshooting
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to assess ROI, operational investments, and profitability drivers
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, drive accountability, and improve operational performance
  • A balance of strategic thinking and hands-on operational leadership capability
  • Strong leadership capability across fast-paced production environments
  • A proactive and solutions-focused mindset with the confidence to operate autonomously
  • Experience implementing both short and long-term process improvements and operational efficiencies
What’s on Offer
  • Opportunity to step into a highly autonomous leadership role
  • Stable Monday–Friday operation with no weekend manufacturing
  • Well-established and growing manufacturing business
  • Strong scope to influence operational direction and site performance
  • Collaborative and hands-on production environment
  • Long-term opportunity to make a genuine impact on operational performance and business growth
