The Company
This privately-owned business has provided end-to-end contract and private-label beverage manufacturing for more than 15 years, producing for customers' own brands in domestic and export markets. Its original site is in regional Victoria. Recently, the business expanded into Campbellfield, adding a bottling line, a canning line, a brewhouse and a distillery.

The business continues to invest heavily in beverage processing, packaging technology and IT systems. Its facilities run some of the most sophisticated beverage equipment available. Growth at the Campbellfield site has created the need for an experienced, technically strong Leading Hand.

The Role
Based at the Campbellfield site, you'll lead a small team of packaging line workers across one bottling line and one canning line. You'll report to the Packaging Line Supervisor and bring beverage manufacturing know-how to a growing team, making sure production targets are met without compromising quality or safety.

This is a hands-on role for someone who knows their way around packaging equipment. You'll be the go-to person on the line. That means running CIP, managing start-ups and end-of-run tasks, supporting changeovers and troubleshooting issues as they come up.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and delegate tasks across the packaging team to hit daily production targets
  • Operate bottling and canning machinery, including line start-up, changeovers and end-of-run shutdown
  • Run CIP (clean-in-place) cycles and maintain hygiene and sanitation standards
  • Be the first point of contact for troubleshooting, escalating to maintenance when required
  • Monitor production output and adjust workflows to meet changing demands
  • Train and mentor new team members on packaging procedures and safety protocols
  • Complete daily QA checks and keep accurate production records, reporting any discrepancies
  • Implement and uphold OHS standards, housekeeping and company procedures in the packaging area
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
  • Experience in a beverage manufacturing or production environment (essential)
  • Hands-on experience running CIP and performing machine start-up, changeover and end-of-run tasks
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and a solid understanding of bottling and/or canning processes
  • Previous leading hand, team leader or senior operator experience
  • Confidence training and directing others, with clear communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting
  • A current Victorian driver's licence and reliable transport (essential)
  • A forklift licence (desirable)
What's on Offer
  • Competitive hourly rate / salary
  • PM shift only, with no nights or rotating rosters
  • A technical leadership role where your machine knowledge is valued and used daily
  • The chance to help build a newly expanded site from the ground up
  • Exposure to advanced bottling, canning and beverage processing technology
  • Opportunity to develop your leadership capability with a growing Australian business
