About the roles
- Contract positions available across multiple councils
- Field-based, community-facing work including:
- Parking and traffic enforcement
- Local laws compliance
- Animal management
- Planning enforcement
- Community safety
- Litter management
- Immediate and upcoming starts
- Conduct patrols in line with council policies and legislation
- Issue infringements and warnings where appropriate
- Respond professionally to customer enquiries, complaints and incidents
- Educate the community about parking regulations and local laws
- Prepare accurate reports, notes and evidence
- Liaise with internal council teams and external stakeholders
- Previous experience as a Parking Officer and/or Local Laws Officer within local government
- Solid knowledge of relevant legislation and enforcement procedures
- Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- A current Victorian driver’s licence
