About the Position
Be part of a dynamic Planning Services team supporting the delivery of statutory planning and subdivision processes. You’ll administer applications in line with the Planning and Environment Act 1987 and Subdivision Act 1988, exercising sound judgement within legislative guidelines.
This role offers hands-on experience with planning systems and processes, while providing essential administrative support to ensure efficient and compliant service delivery.
Key accountabilities
- Provide administrative support to the Manager City Growth & Development, the Leadership Team, and the wider department.
- Refer planning and subdivision applications to relevant authorities within required timeframes.
- Manage the receipt, registration, referral, advertising, archiving, and filing of planning and subdivision applications.
- Maintain electronic and manual registers, and manage incoming department emails in line with procedures.
- Process planning application fees, invoices, and related documentation.
- Maintain statistical databases, including performance measures and indicators.
What we’re Looking for:
- Customer service focus and understanding of customer service role.
- Excellent word processing skills and knowledge of computer systems and technology.
- Accuracy in record keeping and ability to maintain records.
- An understanding of office administration systems and procedures and the goals of the unit.
