The role
Reporting into the Studio Manager, you will coordinate all project-based finance and office accounts activities through Xero and a variety of other software tools.
This is a Maternity leave contract starting ASAP. Some flexibility in hours available if needed.
Responsibilities will include:
- Assist project teams with fee proposal process for new projects
- Support staff with project set up and management in project management software.
- Oversee contract management, including negotiation, interpretation, and execution of contracts.
- Manage billing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Conduct regular project health checks and reporting, providing insights and recommendations
- Manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare and present business reports
- Liaise with external accountants, bank, insurance brokers etc
- Oversee budgeting processes, including the development, implementation, and review of budgets.
- Analyse financial data to identify trends, forecast future needs, and support strategic decision-making.
- Experience in the specific project finance responsibilities preferred, however strong accounts experience in a project-based firm also encouraged
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to forge excellent relationships with both internal team and external stakeholders
- Can work autonomously in role
- Xero experience preferred plus ability to learn new software and technology quickly
- Can commit to a long term contract role 8+ months, without visa restrictions
