Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Construction Engineer to join their highly regarded Construction Services team.
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional who enjoys being involved throughout the delivery phase of major land development projects, working closely with contractors, developers, authorities and internal design teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support construction delivery from commencement through to project completion.
- Liaise with contractors, developers, service authorities, consultants and internal project teams.
- Undertake regular site inspections to ensure works comply with approved plans, specifications and authority requirements.
- Inspect sewer and water infrastructure works and, where appropriately accredited, provide authority sign-off.
- Respond to construction queries, RFIs and technical issues during delivery.
- Prepare construction reports, documentation and project records.
- Attend project meetings and provide construction updates to stakeholders.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to expected quality standards.
To be considered for this role, you will possess:
- A minimum of 5 years' local consulting experience within Melbourne's land development sector.
- Demonstrated experience in construction engineering and subdivision delivery.
- Strong knowledge of roads, drainage, sewer, water, earthworks and civil construction.
- DAS Accreditation (essential).
- At least five years' experience working with sewer and water infrastructure.
- Water authority accreditation ( MRWA Auditing Accreditation (essential)) to inspect and sign off works.
- The ability to confidently interpret engineering drawings, authority standards and technical specifications.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with contractors, authorities and clients.
- A proactive approach, strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving ability.
- Relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
