This role is ideal for an experienced engineer looking to step into a leadership position, take ownership of projects and client relationships, and play a key role in mentoring junior engineers within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of electrical building services projects across multiple sectors.
- Design and oversee electrical systems including: Lighting and power, Communications and security, Emergency and backup systems, Energy-efficient and sustainable solutions.
- Manage projects from concept design through to construction and commissioning.
- Coordinate with internal disciplines, external consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Attend client meetings and provide technical guidance throughout project delivery.
- Conduct site inspections, commissioning activities, and technical reviews.
- Mentor and support junior engineers and drafters.
- Ensure compliance with Australian Standards, NCC requirements, and industry best practices.
- 5+ years’ experience within electrical building services consulting.
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering.
- Proven experience delivering commercial, residential, education, healthcare, or mixed-use projects.
- Strong understanding of Australian Standards and NCC requirements.
- Ability to lead projects and manage client relationships confidently.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit exposure/experience.
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
