Role Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of electrical building services projects from concept through to construction.
- Prepare, review, and approve detailed electrical designs, drawings, reports, and technical documentation.
- Develop and coordinate schematics, layouts, and specifications using Revit and associated design tools.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant Australian Standards, codes, and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate effectively with mechanical, hydraulic, structural, and architectural disciplines.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior engineers and drafting staff.
- Act as a key technical contact in client and project meetings.
- Provide construction phase support, including responding to RFIs and design clarifications.
- Contribute to project planning, design reviews, and overall delivery strategy.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 5+ years’ experience in electrical building services design.
- Proven ability to deliver projects independently from concept through to completion.
- Strong proficiency in Revit and related engineering design software.
- Sound knowledge of Australian Standards and regulatory requirements.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Practical, solution-focused mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and support junior team members.
