The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to take on a Project Lead role within our Electrical Services team. This is a senior, client-facing position suited to an engineer who is confident running projects end-to-end and mentoring junior staff along the way.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and documentation of electrical building services across a diverse portfolio of projects
- Take ownership of projects from concept through to construction and commissioning
- Manage client relationships and act as the primary point of contact on your projects
- Coordinate with architects, other engineering disciplines and consultants to deliver well-integrated design solutions
- Review and mentor junior and intermediate engineers within the team
- Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards and the National Construction Code (NCC)
- Contribute to fee proposals, project programming and resourcing
- Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Proven building services experience is essential — this is not a role for candidates from an industrial, utility, or non-building background
- Demonstrated experience leading electrical building services projects, ideally within a consulting environment
- Registered/Chartered status (or eligibility), e.g. CPEng, RBP, or equivalent, highly regarded
- Strong technical knowledge across electrical distribution, lighting, ELV/communications and standby power systems
- Excellent communication and client management skills
- Ability to lead, mentor and support junior engineering staff
- Proficiency with relevant design software (e.g. Revit, AutoCAD)
- Salary range $140,000 – $180,000 (commensurate with experience)
