The Opportunity
You'll play a key role in the delivery of fire protection solutions across a range of major building services projects, taking ownership from concept design through to construction support. Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of wet and dry fire protection systems across a variety of building projects.
- Ensure designs comply with the National Construction Code (NCC), Australian Standards and relevant authority requirements.
- Coordinate closely with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and structural disciplines.
- Produce and review high-quality technical documentation and specifications.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors and project stakeholders.
- Support project delivery, technical reviews and business development activities where required.
- Ideally 10+ years' experience in Fire Protection Engineering within a Building Services consultancy environment.
- Professional Engineer (PE) accreditation is essential.
- Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, NCC and fire protection design principles.
- Demonstrated experience delivering complex commercial, healthcare, education, residential, defence or infrastructure projects.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Confident leading projects while mentoring and developing junior engineers.
