The Role
As a Senior Hydraulic Engineer, you will be involved in the design and delivery of hydraulic services across a range of building projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and delivering hydraulic services for building projects.
- Taking ownership of hydraulic engineering projects from concept through to construction.
- Preparing hydraulic designs, calculations, specifications and documentation.
- Working closely with electrical, mechanical, structural and civil engineers as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Liaising with clients, contractors and other project stakeholders.
- Providing technical advice and support throughout project delivery.
- Reviewing designs and documentation to ensure quality, compliance and constructability.
- Assisting with project management, fees and programming where required.
- Supporting and mentoring junior engineers and helping develop the hydraulic team.
We are looking for someone with:
- A degree in Hydraulic, Civil, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong experience in hydraulic building services design.
- Previous experience working within an engineering consultancy.
- Good knowledge of Australian Standards, NCC and relevant hydraulic services requirements.
- Experience with hydraulic design, documentation and project delivery.
- The ability to manage projects and communicate confidently with clients and other consultants.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A practical approach to engineering and problem solving.
- The ability to work independently while also contributing to a multidisciplinary team.
- Chartered status, RPEV or the desire to work towards professional registration would be highly regarded.
