Reporting to the Coordinator City Design, you'll be responsible for:
- Leading the design and delivery of landscape architecture and urban design projects from concept through to construction.
- Managing capital works projects, consultants and contractors to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Preparing landscape designs, plans and technical documentation to a high standard.
- Providing expert advice on contemporary landscape architecture and urban design principles.
- Undertaking community and stakeholder engagement throughout project delivery.
- Monitoring project budgets, timelines and capital works programs.
- Reviewing design documentation and maintaining high design standards across the team.
- Mentoring junior team members and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
To be successful, you'll ideally have:
- Local government experience will be highly regarded.
- Tertiary qualifications in Landscape Architecture or a related discipline.
- A minimum of five years' experience in a senior landscape architecture role.
- Demonstrated experience delivering parks, streetscapes, open space and public realm projects.
- Strong project management skills with experience managing consultants and contractors.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience working within a local government environment will be highly regarded.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant design software.
