We're recruiting for an experienced Senior Landscape Officer to join a high-performing team responsible for shaping the landscape outcomes of major residential developments and public realm projects.

The Opportunity Working alongside developers, landscape architects, planners and engineering teams, you'll play a key role in ensuring subdivision landscaping delivers high-quality, sustainable and liveable communities.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a balance of technical assessment, stakeholder engagement and strategic input into future landscape outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and approve detailed landscape design plans for subdivisions, including streetscapes, tree reserves, parks and open space , ensuring they align with approved masterplans, Council standards and industry best practice.
  • Review landscape masterplans, streetscape designs and construction issue plans.
  • Provide expert advice on plant selection, green infrastructure and landscape design standards.
  • Liaise with developers, consultants and internal stakeholders throughout the planning process.
  • Contribute to Development Plans, Precinct Structure Plans, Master Plans and other strategic planning initiatives.
  • Provide technical advice on planning referrals, compliance matters and landscape-related enquiries.
  • Assist with the development and review of landscape policies, standards and guidelines.
To be successful you'll ideally have:
  • Qualifications in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Design, Horticulture or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience assessing landscape plans within a local government, consultancy or development environment.
  • Strong understanding of landscape construction principles, Australian Standards and horticultural best practice.
  • Experience interpreting landscape architectural drawings and subdivision documentation.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and written communication skills.
  • Current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain) and National Police Check.
