One of our long-standing clients, a well-regarded and growing structural engineering consultancy based in Melbourne's northeastern suburbs, is looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to step into a pivotal role in their business.
They work across some of Melbourne's most architecturally distinctive residential projects .
From high-end boutique homes to low-rise apartment developments they're looking for someone who can help lead the charge on both the technical and client fronts.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Leading the structural design and delivery of projects involving complex combinations of materials , including steel, concrete, timber, retaining walls, piling, precast, and post-tensioned elements.
- Reviewing and signing off on work from junior and mid-level engineers.
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients, architects, and builders — helping navigate project challenges and changes with clarity and confidence.
- Managing conversations around variations, scope changes , and additional works with a strong commercial mindset.
- Championing sustainability, particularly in reducing embodied carbon in structural design and construction.
- 7+ years' experience in structural engineering , ideally across custom residential and low-rise apartment projects .
- Deep technical knowledge with a strong understanding of different building systems and materials.
- Confident communicator who enjoys engaging with clients and stakeholders and can think on their feet.
- A proactive leader someone who's dependable, solutions-focused, and keen to mentor and support others.
- A genuine interest in sustainable engineering and innovation in construction practices.
- CPEng preferred, or working towards it.
