A specialist Civil Contractor delivering major landfill & water infrastructure sites in the Northern Regional areas of Victoria.
This SME is in the process of delivering a multi-million dollar Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) in Victoria's region of Bendigo and seeking a driven Engineer to aid the construction of this large-scale project on a contract basis circa 3 months.
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager you will manage the following duties:
Requirements:
- Working within the project team reporting to the Senior PM to ensure projects are delivered on time and to budget
- Ensure high-quality of work is delivered to spec (Earthworks, compacting, grading, drainage infrastructure, material lining etc.)
- Adhere to all Health and Safety requirements
- Develop and implement project plans, including schedules, budgets, and quality control.
- Cost analysis, reporting and forecasting (highly valued)
- Communicating with clients, consultants and authorities
- Manage the subcontractors
- Planning and project programming
- Minimum 4 years experience of working on civil construction projects in Australia in a similar role.
- Must have proven experience delivering large Dams or Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) projects
- A strong understanding of bulk earthworks, drainage, and road construction would be advantageous.
- A degree in Construction / Engineering
- An ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent time management
- Ability to conduct LAFH arrangements or travel to Bendigo daily
- Appropriate IT skills
