Aspect is partnering with an award winning, 5 day work week, Commercial Builder known for their projects across Education, Health, Sporting, Local Government, Emergency Services and much more. This builder constructs projects all over Victoria, with this role managing projects in Metro Melbourne.
The range of project scale is from $5m- $25m with complex and technically challenging projects with a company that prides themselves on their adequate resourcing of their projects.
With a head count of 120 in Victoria, this business has won a number of recent tender submissions and have converted into upcoming projects with a need to grow their high performing and collaborative team.
Role:
Commencing as a Project Manager with this business, you will report into the Construction Managers and manage a team of Contract Administrators, Site Managers and Project Coordinators on a range of 2-3 projects.
The duties will consist of successfully delivering projects on time and budget, with nailing down on the following pillars:
- Cost - delivery of projects within or better than allocated project budget
- Program - delivery of projects within or better than allocated time periods
- Safety - delivery of projects within or better than Bowden Corporation, regulatory requirements, and client’s expectations
- Quality – delivery of project in accordance with Bowden Corporation standards and client’s expectations
- Contract - management of contractual obligations throughout delivery of project
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, the successful candidate will have the following:
- 5+ years’ Commercial Construction Project management experience within the construction industry
- Varied project experience with validated client, end user and stakeholder references confirming the delivery and quality in completed projects
- Proven experience delivering projects from $8M - $10M with validated positive client feedback
- High level of knowledge regarding construction methodology, programing, sequencing and processes, and demonstrated ability to identify and manage risk and opportunity throughout projects
- Knowledge of all services trades and their scopes of work
- Strong leadership skills with the experience leading a team, including sub-contractors, to deliver results
- Advanced interpersonal skills and ability to build strong working relationships and team rapport
- Robust negotiation, time management skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication between site and the office
- Ability to problem solve, plan ahead and mitigate risks
