You will be primarily responsible for reviewing and responding to planning referrals.
The council has a hybrid working arrangement with 2 days working in the office and 3 days WFH.
Employed as a Traffic Engineer, you will also be responsible for:
- Providing engineering recommendations to traffic, parking, road safety & public transport issues impacting the Council
- The development and review of traffic management plans
- Traffic investigations
- Assessing planning applications
- Responding to enquiries from local residents and clients.
- Identifying & providing recommendations on accident blackspots
- Customer service
- A degree in Civil Engineering, or relevant experience/qualifications
- Experience working as a Traffic or Transport Engineer preferably within Local Government
- Ability to prepare and review Traffic Management Plans
- Solid knowledge of Local Government traffic and transport procedures and policies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A current drivers license
