The Global leaders in the design, manufacture and installation of hyperbaric chambers, our client is looking to bring in a Purchasing Lead to the business.

The Role:
Reporting to the Managing Director & working closely with Engineering leads, you will establish and lead the company’s procurement function.
You will be responsible for creating & maintaining seamless procurement and contract management processes to guarantee the timely production of hyperbaric systems, manufactured in Victoria and distributed across the globe.
You will prioritise building and managing key relationships to ensure cost, logistical and project efficiencies, while maintaining compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
This role is Geelong based with intermittent travel required to QLD.
Requirements:
This role will suit someone in the petrochemical, mining, medical or transport manufacturing industries that possess the following:
- Relevant Tertiary Qualifications: Engineering or Business
- Experienced in a Procurement role within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Strong negotiation, commercial acumen & relationship building skills
- Experience in supplier quality management & conducting supplier audits
- Ability to interpret technical specifications & requirements for materials
- Experience establishing a procurement team or function would be advantageous
- Travel – both international and national travel is a requirement in this role
- A team first mentality
