Operating for over 20 years, this Melbourne-based engineering and construction firm works closely with both government departments and asset operators to ensure the effective management of infrastructure across both rail and broader civil networks.
The client offers a challenging mix of structural renewal/design projects as well as complex engineering investigations including inspections, structural assessment, load rating and modification/strengthening strategies.
The Role
As the Construction Manager will take ownership of the overall success of the delivery arm of the business covering the following requirements:
- In-depth and broad Victorian railway knowledge
- Assist with bid management and provide expert advice on program and methodology
- Manage a team of 15+ including project managers, engineers, estimators + more
- Proven ability to manage project teams, organising and allocating work, prioritising and overseeing deliverables
- Delivery of projects concrete structures (retaining walls / bridge decks) up to $3 million
- Scheduling of asset management teams to metro and regional areas of Victoria
- Resource allocation on projects (human and plant machinery)
- Present monthly project and cost reports to clients and the directors
- Mentoring of Project Managers - regular leadership training and advice
- Design Management
- Quality Management and OH&S
