This is a rare opportunity to work for one of the most respected Consultancies in Melbourne. This employee-owned consultancy specialising in Town Planning and Urban Design seeks to add a Senior or Associate Town Planner to its existing team of 25.
As an Urban Planner with this employer, you will have the unique chance to work on various residential, commercial, and industrial developments across Melbourne and regional Victoria. This is a client-facing role that involves project management and delivery, allowing you to collaborate directly with their valued clients. You will play a pivotal role in transforming ideas into reality and shaping vibrant communities for generations to come.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare, various planning documents such as reports, planning scheme amendments, tender submissions, fee proposals, due diligence reports, and strategic advice in a timely and professional manner.
- Managing PSPs, Development Plans, or securing planning permits for diverse projects like greenfield estates, commercial developments, or multi-unit complexes, no 2 projects are the same.
- Foster and nurture relationships with top-tier clients including large developers, Councils, and the like to drive business growth.
- Project manage consultants externally to ensure timely and practical solutions for clients.
- Work alongside Associate Directors and Directors all with 15+ years experience in Melbourne.

- A qualified Urban Planner with circa 5+ years experience in the private sector, or someone with superior commercial acumen.
- Experience in project management and delivery, with a proven track record of successful outcomes within a Town Planning context.

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to think critically and creatively.
